Ralph Benko in the American Spectator points out the thinking of those on the left who believe our U.S. Constitution should evolve and be updated with the changing times. Their call sounds good and, as Benko states, it sounds “underhandedly suave!”

He points out that these new thinkers are serious adversaries who are not operating in good faith in America but are engaged in a cultural revolution to undermine the good that America is.

Though Benko is unequivocal that “America is good,” he explains it is not perfect. But, “America’s political compromises and moral blemishes are dwarfed by America’s humanitarian accomplishments.”

“That America is good is not merely self-evident. The case for America’s goodness is irrefutable.” Benko provides many examples to prove that very case.

I agree with him that Americans have an obligation to understand our heritage and protect our liberties, especially today, especially in 2020, “and henceforth must unequivocally affirm that America is good.”
